NIST SP 800-66

Contingency - An event with the potential to disrupt computer operations, thereby disrupting critical mission and business functions, for example, a power outage, hardware failure, fire, or storm. If the event is very destructive, it is often called a disaster. See Computer Security Contingency. [NIST SP 800-6612]
